History of Ohio's Topiary Park

The Topiary Park in Columbus, Ohio is a unique and wonderful attraction that you will not find anywhere else. This park was created in 1988 and is now home to over 100 topiaries. The shapes of the topiaries range from animals to people to everyday objects.

One of the coolest things about this park is that it always changes and it is never in the same shape twice. The topiaries are always changing and there is a new design every month, so visitors will want to come back again and again!

The brainchild of the park is landscape architect James N. Irwin, who got the idea for the park while on a trip to Italy. He was inspired by the beautiful gardens and landscapes he saw there and decided to bring that beauty back to his home state of Ohio.
