What to see at Scioto Audubon Metro Park
There are few places in Franklin County and Columbus, OH that offer a stronger link to the past than Scioto Audubon Metro Park. This outdoor recreation area is situated along the banks of the Scioto River, and it offers visitors hiking trails, canoeing opportunities, and an old-fashioned wooden suspension bridge over which you can cross from one side of the park to the other.
The park offers visitors a chance to explore and learn about Ohio wildlife, as it is home to many different species of birds and animals. Visitors can see deer every day at the bridge area, and if you’re lucky you might also spot otters playing in the river or raccoons out looking for food alongside your dog.
Scioto Audubon Metro Park is located just off River Road in the Dublin/Granville area. It can be reached by car via Alum Creek Drive or Route 161, and there’s also a bike path that runs through the park along with access to public transportation at its border. The grounds are open throughout most of the year, and there is no charge for admission.

Remember that there is no parking available at the Scioto Audubon Metro Park Columbus, so you will have to find street parking or park in a nearby lot before heading over. There are also no bathrooms on-site, but if you walk across the river towards downtown Ohio for about ten minutes, you will find the public bathrooms off of Broad Street.

Scioto Audubon Metro Park is located at 400 W Whittier St, Columbus, OH 43215. If you’re riding public transportation, you can get off at the corner of Whittier and West Broad Street.
Scioto Audubon Metro Park Hours
The Scioto Audubon Metro Park Columbus is open from 6:30 am to 8 pm, 365 days a year. The Riverview Cafe closes an hour before closing time, so you will have to get food elsewhere if you are visiting after that.
